I am a retired teacher living in a seaside town in the Southwest of the UK. I am married with 3 adult children who have all flown the nest. I trained to be a teacher in Watford, after which I spent many years in London before moving back to within a few miles from where I was born.
I started writing during an extended illness a number of years ago, cutting my teeth on a blog (stevestuff) and some longer writing projects which then sat on my hard drive for several years when I returned to work. Since then I have published several books, with more in the pipeline. These are at various stages of development, from nearly complete to half-written.
My favourite authors are Stephen King, J Robert Lennon, Peter Hamilton and Ian M Banks, although I enjoy reading a wide variety of genres.
My own writing draws on a range of influences and experiences, usually ending up as something that doesn’t fit neatly into a specific genre. I don’t mind this, as long as the story resembles the idea I started out with.
