Madelaine’s essays and articles have been published in The Southwester, Pura Wildlife and Katiemo London. Her short fiction has been published in the anthology, Writing into Truth – a heartfelt collection of essays and stories about the experience of the pandemic. Her nature essay, A World Without Trees, was longlisted for Stories for Survival.
In 2018, Madelaine attended the Writing for Young Adults Retreat at Arvon, taught by Marcus Sedgwick. In 2021, she received the Writing into Truth Scholarship from Albert Flynn DeSilver.
After becoming a mother, Madelaine worked as an in-house copywriter for a creative agency. From creative input for film scripts to writing song jingles for comedy pilots, she has worked on a vast range of writing projects. Madelaine has also illustrated for magazines, NGO projects, and exhibited her artwork from London to New York.
She is currently seeking representation for her YA novel, Mia’s Bench.
