Wendy is the author of three modern romance novels and four festival award-winning stage plays. She spent her early life in South Africa, Singapore, Aden, Malta, Libya and other places where her RAF father was posted. Continuing an itinerant lifestyle as an adult, she became an air stewardess, a secretary on the Duke of Bedford’s staff and a catwalk model. While flying around the world she met her army officer husband in Hong Kong, married him in a whirlwind eighteen days later, and stayed in the then colony long enough to raise three children. She studied screenwriting at the UCLA in Los Angeles and has written four festival award-winning plays for theatre. Wendy is also an artist with the Teignmouth Art Society and has lived in Teignmouth for 24 years.
When retrieving an essay from her all-time favourite teacher, Wendy remembers him saying, “If this was an excerpt from a book, it would be good.” In other-words it was not what he wanted. But it planted an idea in her mind at a very early age that one day, she would write a book. Her first book was published by Soundings and her second by Thorpe.
